When the phenotype of a heterozygote is intermediate between both homozygotes, the pattern of inheritance is incomplete dominance. Example of incomplete dominance is when if a blue-colored flower crossed with a white-colored flower and it produced light blue-colored flower offspring. In this pattern of inheritance one allele is not completely dominant over the other.
