What type of poem is Matsuo's Basho's A Snowy Morning? Limerick, Haiku, Ballad, or epic poem?

Haiku A haiku is a short, three line poem with the first line with 5 syllables, the second with 7, the last with 5. It has not rhyme scheme and it usually is about nature. It can also have a kigo (a seasonal reference).  The kigo is this poem is the word snowy - it refers to winter. Also it is important to note that while the English version of the poem does not have the correct syllables, the poem was not originally written in English. It was written in Japanese. Sometimes the syllables get lost in translation.
