What are some of the guidelines for moral behavior described in the Qur'an?

The first pillar, Shahadah (profession of faith) states that there is only one god, and Muhammad is the messenger. The second pillar, Salat, requires Muslims to worship five times every day: dawn, noon, afternoon, sunset, dusk no matter what they are currently doing. They also have to be facing the city of Mecca and their hands must be clean. The third pillar, Zakat, encourages Muslims to give to the poor, giving ~2.5% of their overall wealth to the poor, which means self purification. Sawm, or fasting, is performed from sunrise to sunset to show their devotion. Then you have the Hajj, a ritual religious journey to the holy city. Muslims dress in white clothes to signify their purity.
