taking ln for the both sides ∴ ∴ (x+2) ln e = ln (7/5) ⇒ ln e = 1 ∴ x + 2 = ln (7/5) ∴ x = ln (7/5) - 2 Using calculator ∴ x ≈ -1.66

Simplify 4+5e^x +2 to 6 + 5e^x 6 + 5e^x = 11 Subtract 6 from both sides 5e^x = 11 - 6 Simpilfy 11 - 6 to 5 5e^x = 5 Divide both sides by 5 e^x = 1 X = 0 Sorry if my answer did not help of was wrong
